One of the BEST chicken burgers I have tried. Just classic schnitzel and gravy with two buns, yet so much flavour. The staff are absolutely LOVELY. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Absolutely delicious chicken burger. Chicken was very tender just slightly too pink inside but we ate it with no issues. Lovely smoky charcoal flavour. The owner is friendly with a good sense of humour. There were no spare tables so we ate across the road in the park which was very nice.

We got a whole chook, a large Greek salad, a large chips and a large gravy. The chook was great, very flavoursome. The chips were the perfect cross between fluffy and crisp. The salad was fresh and tasty and the gravy was rich and tasty. The gentleman serving was great with my boys and provided an excellent family meal for our overnight stay. I highly recommend for a simple yet wholesome meal. No photos added as we couldn’t wait to eat it.

Grabbed some chicken and gravy. Holy damn absolutely delicious and juicy chicken. Best gravy I've had in Canberra! Outdoor seating area, dog friendly. They also gave me little containers to give my fur babies some chicken. Definitely recommend. Lovely service.

I rediscovered the takeaway shop last week that a family member drove to the Charcoal Rooster 🐓, I was there in the 60s and 70s. Walked inside the takeaway, and I can smell the wonderful charcoal chicken 🐔 cooking. The staff and owner are so helpful, and I will take my order. Today, I have little of everything ❤️, potatoes, scallops, spring rolls 😋,dim sim meat, and sausage. Last week, I had, can't emphasize how good the fish and chips are so delicious 😋, and later in the week, we had a steak 🥪 sandwich with salad, so perfectly cooked and delicious. Come and see your shelf. You will love ❤️ the Charcoal Rooster 🐓. Ps. I was too early for my chicken 🐔 charcoal😋😋. Next time ⏲️

I was on my way from my home in Brisbane, to the Snowy's on my 2017 BMW R1200GS Rallye in October 2024. I grew up in Adelaide so I know a good charcoal chicken shop when I smell and taste it! The chicken is perfectly cooked and succulent and the chips are fat and have a "crunch" on the outside. Just perfection! On another day I had a Kabab and it too was all I could ask for. These guys are great. All the best for the future. P.S. Please move up here to the south side of Brisbane and open another Charcoal chicken shop... PLEASE?

Always love the food at Charcoal Rooster - the Snack Pack is always a worthwhile order, and it has your typical kabab shop/counter style corner shop food bar feel from back in the day. Lots of yellow chicken salt.

Best burger I’ve had in years. I’ll definitely be back! Next time I’m trying the chicken which was being cooked over charcoal (yes I know it’s in the name, but lots of places don’t). Friendly staff and the food was really fast.
